My Story
My story:
Having the chance to be part of this cultural exchange program was a great opportunity that changed my life in many aspects by growing my worldwide view, meeting new people and professionals, learning about a different culture, and more importantly, learning cultural exchange and friendship beyond the borders. I had the chance to take responsibility in many different areas to plan and hold cultural events, Charity bazaars, making films, etc. which faced me with deeper and more concrete issues and understanding of the world and even about myself.
I studied Conservation of Historic Buildings to dedicate my academic life to preserving cultural heritage and then I continued my studies in Germany in Masters of World Heritage Studies at the Brandenburg University of Technology.
Afterward, with the recommendation letters that Dr. Fatime Schahin-Doerflinger and Mrs. Aghili wrote for me, I got the chance to gain more international experiences in the United States, Austria, Portugal, etc.

one unforgettable memory:
If I want to choose something to share about the friendship between Freiburg and Isfahan, which I have many on my mind, I would refer to the story of a German girl who once sent me a message that she and her family were traveling to Iran, and she has seen by accident on my profile that I am a member of Freundeskreis Freiburg-Isfahan, and she was curious if she and her sister can stay by us and I joined them in some city explorations in Isfahan! maybe that was one of the moments that my mind was too empty to describe how huge the effect of this more than 20 years of cultural exchange has been. This is the kind of trust and friendship that has been built downstream for a long time, which makes it so bonded and strong.

Worldwide Vision:
When I presented "Freundeskreis Freiburg-Isfahan" in my cultural management course at university, considering program participants are diverse from all around the world, everyone was so fascinated and found this story so unique and outstanding, they were curious to understand how they can make such a thing while beforehand they had no clue that a concept like twin-city/ sister-city exists and it can cause this huge effe.

My Wish:
My wish is that we spread this mindset more, and introduce Freiburg-Isfahan as a worldwide successful example that has been resisting many political barriers to protect people's bonds.
I know there are many people out there who just need to know the possibilities and such an experience, as a heartwarming encouragement. we just need to imagine that we can heal the world even a bit more, just need to take action even if it's a tiny step!
