The project captures and promotes the stories of San Antonio’s underrepresented communities. The project expands an existing program called the Local Markers Program. OHP's Local Markers Program tells San Antonio's stories from communities historically excluded from state and national marker programs. These communities often exist in neighborhoods threatened by re-development, including neighborhoods surrounding the San Antonio World Heritage Missions.
